Thank You For the Music
Parfois, je me demande si les années 70 nous paraitraient aussi intéressantes si elles
n'avaient été suivies d'un abyssal trou noir musical, que ne regrettent guère
que quelques trentenaires-sur-le-tard émus de se remémorer leurs boums au son de
Début de Soirée ou David et Jonathan.
Mais force est constater que même avec une recette aussi niaise que celle d'Abba, on trouve
encore dans les années 70 ce qui va disparaître ensuite : des ingrédients
de qualité. Bon d'accord, les paroles sont en toc, les costumes ringards (c'est-à-dire
à la mode, du point de vue de l'époque), mais je ne parle pas de ces détails,
non, je veux parler de la musique, et des arrangements !
J'avoue avoir un faible pour "Thank You for the Music", en particulier pour sa
mélodie et son harmonie. J'ai donc craqué pour cette version, qui n'en garde
guère plus que cela, avec juste un zeste de swing en plus. Le bon goût total. A
savourer sans modération.
